To master NoteWorthy Player (now commonly known as NoteWorthy Viewer) quickly, you must look beyond basic mouse clicks and utilize its built-in rehearsal tools. This freeware utility is designed to let musicians view, hear, and rehearse scores created in NoteWorthy Composer or standard MIDI files. 1. Leverage Fast Tempo Controls

You can instantly speed up or slow down a song to match your practice level. Press the Plus (+) key to increase playback speed. Press the Minus (-) key to slow it down.

This allows you to practice tricky passages slowly before building up to performance speed. 2. Transpose and Shift Pitch on the Fly

If a piece is out of your vocal range or written for a different instrument, you can adjust the pitch directly during playback. Use the vertical arrows located on the bottom taskbar.

Click directly on this counter area to jump to specific measure numbers or sections instantly. 5. Isolate Parts with the Mute and Staff List

The player allows you to control exactly what you hear so you can isolate your specific musical part.

Access the Mute List to silence the rest of the ensemble so you can hear your solo notes clearly.

Alternatively, mute only your instrument’s track so you can play along with the software acting as your backing band.
