The official standalone Microsoft Start Menu Troubleshooter tool (startmenu.diagcab) has been discontinued and removed from Microsoft’s official download pages. While it can no longer be accessed directly within modern Windows Settings, you can easily fix Start Menu issues using a few standard, built-in system repair steps.
If your Start Menu is frozen or failing to load, follow these steps in order to resolve the issue: 1. Restart Windows Explorer
This refreshes the entire desktop interface and is often the fastest way to get a frozen Start Menu working again.
